Never a dull moment

Wow. My class has been completely crazy and sick. Not the best combination. On Friday, one of my girls threw up all in her lap at the lunch table and she just sat there, letting it come out. Then her Mom picked her up and said," She really wanted to come to school". I hate when kids tell their parents what to do. I'm really glad that she likes school, but it isn't worth her coming when she is sick. Then yesterday, one of my little boys started taking his pants off at the playground and started talking about poop (I thought he was about to poop on the ground), so I asked my TA to take him to the bathroom. Turns out, he has already poop his pants and it was diarrhea style. This continued throughout the day until the 3rd time when we could call his Mom to come get him. To make matters worse, in the mist of all of this, the toilet overflows with poopie water!! It was flowing from the boys bathroom straight to our classroom (we're in the middle). Of course, the office was like, "you guys need to shut the water off" and "mop up that water" but that is not our job. We already do things beyond our call of duty, like sweep and mop our own classrooms, but that is taking it toooooo far. I straight up told them, "I'm not mopping up poopie water because we could all get sick from that". Also, none of us were wearing the appropriate attire. Grr... So, we needed up eating snack outside and releasing our students from the playground. Oh, the fun.

Thankfully, I've had a blessing come my way and tomorrow we shall see if it is really meant for me. I am still praying and thanking God for this opportunity because I have had enough bs. All I want to do is teach. and teach children who wish to be taught. : ) Keep me in your prayers!
